It’s spooky time, and we want you to have a spirited Halloween. Whether that means dressing in your scariest costume or visiting local pubs for the most haunted spirits, we’re here to help you find the best Halloween events happening in NOLA.
Check out our list below for some suggestions on how to creep it real this Halloween.
1. Vampiric Masquerade: Court of the Dark Fae
If costumes are your favorite part of Halloween, then you’ll appreciate the Vampiric Masquerade at the Beauregard Keyes Mansion. Dress to impress in your best ball gown or wings and expect Burlesque performances, jugglers and stilt walkers! (October 25 // Beauregard Keyes Mansion // 9:00 p.m. -1:00 a.m. // $130)
2. Mortuary Haunted House
The Mortuary Haunted House is hosted at a site well known for paranormal activity and has been featured on several ghost hunting shows. If you’re prepared for intense scare factors, then we definitely recommend checking out this Halloween hotspot. (Dates and Times Vary)
3. The Lazarus Ball
The Lazarus Ball is held at the New Orleans Board of Trade and is a great option if you’re looking for something a bit fancier. Black tie is preferred for this event, so while it’s not the best place to showcase your costume, there will be an open bar, food and entertainment. Plus, as the name suggests, this ball will benefit the Lazarus Project. (October 25 // New Orleans Board of Trade // 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. // $95)
4. End Game Halloween Costume Party
End Game Sports Group is hosting a ‘party with a purpose’ this Halloween to benefit youth development in NOLA. This is a great budget-friendly event, and guests can expect food, a cash bar and a costume contest. If you need motivation, there’s a cash prize! (October 25 // House of Memories ‘Event Room’ // 9:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. // $20+)
5. Crawl New Orleans
Let’s face it. We’re here for the boos. Crawl New Orleans takes care of you throughout the night to make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck. Drink deals, party games and exclusive venues will make this a popular event, so buy your ticket now! (October 26 // French Quarter // 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. // $59)
6. Halloween at the O!
If you’re feeling artsy this Halloween, check out the Ogden Museum of Art. Not only is the event FREE for Louisiana residents, but you’ll also receive a free admission ticket for a future visit. (October 31 // Ogden Museum of Art // 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. // FREE)
7. Halloween Haunt Ghost Hunt at the Haunted Hotel
If you appreciate scarier Halloween traditions, then we highly recommend this haunting event. Guests will participate in 3 hours of ghost hunting, and psychic medium Lucky Belcamino will lead a seance. Spooky tales about the Axeman of NOLA will leave you shaking, and maybe you’ll conjure him to the Hotel…. (October 31 // The Haunted Hotel // 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. // $20)
